UNIPOLE FOREST PRODUCT TRADING LTD. is a private Finnish- Turkish Joint Venture Corporation established in 1993 in Adana, Turkey. Our expertise in wood preservation and use of wooden poles, however, dates back almost 70 years when IVO Power Engineering Ltd, our major Finnish shareholder, erected its first overhead power lines. Our product range covers impregnated wooden poles and wooden accessories for overhead telephone and power lines.

The raw material is Baltic Redwood (Pinus Sylvestris) of Finnish origin, the species most commonly used by utility companies in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

The raw material procured from Finland, north of the 60th latitude, provides poles with excellent properties in terms of strength, form and service life.

The poles are impregnated in the facilities of TOKTAS A.S. in Adana. The efficient and well­equipped plant is able to provide treatment either with creosote or water-borne salts.

As recognition for their commitment to quality in the operations, Unipole and IVO Power Engineering hold ISO 9000 certificates. As ISO 9000 defines the strict principles of quality management, we adhere in detail to the established international standards in production and quality control.

The location of the plant gives us and our clients two main advantages: an ideal seasoning in the Mediterranean climate and the possibility of delivering the goods by trucks directly to the client's warehouse in the Middle East. The major ports in this area offer transport connections with almost all parts of the world, either by conventional ships or container ships.
